Privacy Policy
Kinetic Pricing helps B2B SaaS founders find their optimal price point. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to run your pricing studies, and we never sell your data.
01Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you use Kinetic Pricing.
- Account information: your email address, used to create and secure your account via magic-link sign-in.
- Study inputs: pricing pages, product descriptions, and survey configurations you submit for analysis.
- Survey responses: answers submitted by respondents to studies you run. Responses are associated with the study, not with a respondent's identity, unless you choose to collect it.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details — we retain only a payment reference and receipt data.
- Usage data: basic technical information such as browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, used to keep the service reliable and secure.
- Campaign attribution: when you arrive via a link that includes UTM campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term), we capture those values together with the landing page path and referring domain. This data is held temporarily in your browser's session storage (cleared when you close the tab) and, if you sign up during the same session, stored with your account record as described below.
02How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Kinetic Pricing service, including generating pricing analyses and study reports.
- Process payments for paid studies and send you receipts.
- Send transactional emails such as sign-in links, study status updates, and completed reports.
- Respond to your questions and support requests.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
03Emails and Marketing
Marketing email is optional. If you choose to receive pricing research tips and product updates, you can unsubscribe at any time. Changing this preference does not affect transactional emails needed to use the service.
04Analytics and Campaign Attribution
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service, to understand how visitors use the public site. Plausible does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not collect personal data. Aggregate metrics — page views, referrers, and UTM campaign performance — are the only data it processes.
When you arrive from a campaign link (one with utm_source or similar parameters), your browser temporarily stores the landing path and campaign values in session storage (a browser-local, tab-scoped store with no expiry beyond the session). No persistent cookie or cross-device identifier is created. If you sign up during the same browsing session, we attach a sanitised copy of those values to your account record to understand which campaigns lead to verified accounts and paid studies.
Campaign attribution values stored on our servers are limited to: the landing path (no query string), the referring hostname, and the five standard UTM fields. We never store your email address, survey answers, entered URLs, payment details, or authentication tokens in attribution records.
We retain campaign attribution and conversion event records for 24 months from the date they were created, after which they are deleted. Payment records for completed studies are retained separately for accounting and legal purposes and are not deleted on the same schedule. You may request early deletion of your attribution data by contacting us.
05How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the product:
- Stripe, for payment processing.
- Resend, for delivering transactional email.
- Plausible Analytics, for aggregate, cookie-free website analytics.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that store data on our behalf.
06Data Retention
We retain your account data and study results for as long as your account is active. We retain campaign attribution and analytics conversion records for 24 months. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us, and we will delete it within 30 days except where retention is required by law (for example, payment records for accounting).
07Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including encryption in transit, scoped access controls, and passwordless authentication. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
08Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
09Children's Privacy
Kinetic Pricing is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or with a prominent notice in the product before the change takes effect.
11Pro Upgrade Analytics
For attribution purposes, Kinetic Pricing tracks upgrade interactions within the application—such as clicking on Pro affordances in the study creation flow, the dashboard, or study results. These interactions are tracked via internal analytics events (e.g., 'Upgrade CTA Clicked') and may include a utm_campaign property to attribute upgrades to specific funnels or campaigns.
